Week #21 - “Trust the Numbers”
From NBA playoffs to self-driving cars. Data analysis has changed many aspects of our lives. The first two videos below illustrate how technology opens up groundbreaking new possibilities. In video number three we learn that “trust” is the relationship to the unknown. Even though it takes time to establish, it is absolutely essential.
Technology and trust are closely related. Certain technological innovations are highly beneficial and even essential given the current challenges, such as climate change. However, the question is which of the new technologies to use and trust and which to consciously avoid, because they conflict with existing values.
